About the intervention

Create a handbook to surviving university, and pass it down to younger students from your course, who can continue to add more tips and advice.

How to set it up.

  • Create an online document for the guide.

  • If there is already an exisiting guide, just add on to it.

What to do during.

No instructions needed.

How you can mix it up ...

Audience: This Student Guide can be directed at all Imperial students, or very niche to each cohort or programme. Different scales can work, but closer circles and smaller cohorts will benefit from a stronger sense of belonging when receiving advice from past students.

The guide can include a few aspects: General college life, fun activities in London, study advice on each course/module, clubs and societies, extracurricular activities related to the course, work experience, online courses useful for the course, reading list outside that provided by the Department, etc.

Useful resources.

Download and use these example Google Docs templates.
