About the intervention

Test your hearing and listening skills with a quick game of Telephone!

How to set it up.

  • Organise participants to sit in a circle or in a straight line.

What to do during.

  • Ask one person to think of a long sentence and whisper it to the person next to them once only. Good sentences use alliteration or famous phrases. 

  • This second person needs to whisper what they understood to the third person, and so on. 

  • At the end, the last person shares out loud what they understood and that sentence is compared to the original one.

How you can mix it up ...

Phrases to share: a. A fun fact about yourself, b. Something you learnt recently, c. your favourite author) playing (a sport you despise) in (the last public space you visited).
